Manitowoc Ultimate Frisbee Concern

Just a reminder that this week's indoor ultimate is getting pushed back to 7:15 PM due to scheduling priority conflicts with the MPRD.  We're still on for 2 hours, so we'll see you then!

Reminder that indoor ultimate for this week Feb 12 is cancelled due to scheduling conflicts with the gym.

Just a heads-up that this week's indoor ultimate has had its time pushed back to 7:30 PM to accomodate a rescheduled youth basketball game.  We'll still have the gym for 2 hours, so 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

One other note, the MUFC will pay the $3 fee for any high school students that come to play indoor ultimate this winter.

We are excited to announce that the Manitowoc Parks & Recreation Department is hosting indoor Ultimate Frisbee pick-up this winter!  The games will be held in the Citizen Park gym, also known as the Rollaire Skate Center.  This is a huge space and should make for great indoor!

The 2008 Manitowoc Ultimate Hat Tournament has come and gone.  A special thanks to all the players who came to town and play some very competitive ultimate for five grueling games.  As a fellow competitor on Saturday, I salute you all.

That's right!  Man Hat '08 is happening tomorrow.  We still plan to accept registrations at check-in, but we can no longer guarantee a shirt in your size.  If you're in the Manitowoc area and are curious about this game, or have kids that might want to play at the school clubs that are starting up, feel free to drop by and talk to us and check things out.

 We'd like to give a big "THANK YOU" to our 2008 tournament sponsors, without whom this wouldn't be possible:

Registration is still open, sign up today!  The t-shirts have been ordered.  Due to late sign-ups, we had to scrap our plan of different colored shirts for each team.  The shirts this year are all going to be a nice Irish green.  Feel free to use it as a dark, and please bring your own white shirt.

If you didn't get a shirt size to me before yesterday, it will be first-come first served on the extra shirts I ordered. If you want a shirt reserved in your size, register and email me ASAP.

1. We have removed the deadline altogether and will be accepting registrations until we reach our cap or until the end of check-in at the tournament, whichever comes first.
2. People have reported problems when creating new accounts at the MPRD eConnect website.  If you are unable to register via the website,  you can always register by calling them at (920) 683-4530 and tell them you want to register for the Ultimate tournament.  They'll take your contact and payment info over the phone.  I apologize for any inconvenience people have had trying to sign-up.

We have extended the tournament registration deadline to next Friday, July 18th.  However if you want to be guaranteed a shirt in your size, then you need to register before Tuesday, July 22nd, as that is when we are placing the final order.

So REGISTER NOW!  Remember that groups of 4 or more receive a 15% rebate on their $20 registeration fee.  All players will get a  disc and t-shirt and an entry into our raffle of assorted goodies.

Just a reminder that the MUFC will be having a brat fry at Copp's this Saturday.  Food will be served from 10AM to 4PM unless things get really slow.  So please come out and please tell your friends and family.  The standard assortment of brats, burgers, chips and sodas will be available for sale.

All proceeds will go towards the MUFC, which is in the midst of organizing the 2008 ManHat tournament as well as reformation and funding of the Lincoln High School ultimate club..
