Manitowoc Ultimate Frisbee Concern

Due to extraordinarily low player registration numbers, we've decided to cancel this year's Manitowoc Ultimate Hat Tournament.  We would love to still have everyone come and play, but some players were coming from too far away to not be able to offer a full tournament.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes for players that have already registered.  The MPRD will be refunding your money.  If you have any problems with this, email me at don.seiler@mufc.us.

Rest assured that we will be back in 2010 with new life and a bigger, better experience for all.

The ManHat is still looking for players to fill out the tournament next week Saturday, July 25th!  To make things more enticing, the registration fee has been kept at the early bird price of $15!  Where else will you get a shirt, disc and day of easy-going Ultimate for $15?  NOWHERE.

The Manitowoc Jaycees are holding their third annual Silver Creek Shootout fund raising disc golf tournament.  This annual event will be held at Silver Creek Park on July 18th from Noon – ???. The first 100 entries will receive an Innova disc golf gift bag which includes an Innova Disc, mini disc marker, scorecard and pencil.

That's right!  Registration is now open for ManHat '09, so clear July 25th from your calendars!  Click on the "2009 Tournament" link at upper right of this page for tournament details and registration instructions.  Early bird pricing is $15 until June 12th, going to $20 after that.

Just a reminder that this week's indoor ultimate is getting pushed back to 7:15 PM due to scheduling priority conflicts with the MPRD.  We're still on for 2 hours, so we'll see you then!

Just a heads-up that this week's indoor ultimate has had its time pushed back to 7:30 PM to accomodate a rescheduled youth basketball game.  We'll still have the gym for 2 hours, so 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

One other note, the MUFC will pay the $3 fee for any high school students that come to play indoor ultimate this winter.

We are excited to announce that the Manitowoc Parks & Recreation Department is hosting indoor Ultimate Frisbee pick-up this winter!  The games will be held in the Citizen Park gym, also known as the Rollaire Skate Center.  This is a huge space and should make for great indoor!

The 2008 Manitowoc Ultimate Hat Tournament has come and gone.  A special thanks to all the players who came to town and play some very competitive ultimate for five grueling games.  As a fellow competitor on Saturday, I salute you all.
